I have heard that depression is a complex disease involving highly specialized substances in the brain that are not working well. How can supplements ever make a difference?
All those complex substances that control your mood have to be made from something and that something is the food you eat. The secretion of these substances is also affected negatively or positively by food and that is why monitoring your diet is of paramount importance. I have seen several depressed people improve their condition by the addition of as little as one supplement and the omission of detrimental substances from their diet.
